JOIN US AT THE eWeek BANQUET!

The ASQ SFV Quality Engineer of the Year honoree is a person who has outstanding achievements as a quality assurance professional and has made significant contributions to the quality engineering profession.   All current ASQ-Certified Quality Engineers were eligible for nomination.  Reliability Engineers, Software Quality Engineers, Quality Engineering Managers and others with both quality-related titles and academic degrees in engineering were also eligible for nomination.

Paul is Quality Manager for the Alfred Mann Institute for Biomedical Engineering.  Paul began supporting fellow quality professionals in the year 2000, as an elected officer of the San Fernando Valley Section of the American Society for Quality.  While serving as Section Secretary, Paul earned his ASQ Certification as a Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence and went on to become Section Vice Chair in charge of Strategic Planning.  In 2004, Paul earned his ASQ Certification as a Quality Auditor.  In 2005, Mr. Buckley was elected as Chair for the San Fernando Valley Section of ASQ and co-championed establishment of two ASQ SFV endowments at CSUN, one for the College of Business and Economics and another for the College of Engineering and Computer Science.  While still serving as Section Chair, Paul provided guest lectures, on behalf of ASQ, at USC and was active in the committee that presented the Economic Case for Quality to local Executives at an invitational Executive Roundtable event.  Most recently, Paul became an active member of the committee for creation of a Joint Section Annual ASQ Quality Conference.  The conference was held for the second year in 2009 and is growing in popularity by quantum leaps.  Currently, Paul continues to mentor local Quality professionals, including quality engineers, as Immediate Past Chair for the San Fernando Valley Section and further serves as a member of the Section Audit Committee.  Paul’s selection as the ASQ San Fernando Valley Section Quality Engineer of the Year recognizes a decade of outstanding leadership and his diligent fostering of excellent educational programs in service to quality engineers, quality managers and other quality-related professionals.

Please join us in honoring his achievements at the National Engineers’ Week Banquet on February 20, 2010.  For further information, please follow this link.
