Technical Society and Company Support Considerations
National Engineers Week celebrations are planned, in accordance with The National Society of Professional Engineers guidelines, to occur during the week of George Washington's birthday. George Washington, a land surveyor & our nations first president, is regarded as our nation's first prominent engineer, and thus we celebrate National Engineers Week in conjunction with his birthday.
Since 1955, The Engineers' Council has conducted an Honors & Awards Banquet at a major banquet facility, and arranges for the keynote address to be delivered by a prominent speaker. This year's Honors & Awards Banquet attendance was 665, and was the largest of its kind nationwide. The upcoming 2009 banquet will be The Engineers' Council 54th Annual Honors & Awards Banquet. |
