Technical Society and Company Support Considerations
It is important to have the organizations of award recipients support at the Honors & Awards Banquet, and peer & management participation, in order to assist in the recognition of your nominee, should he or she be selected to receive an award from The Engineers' Council.

 

National Engineers Week celebrations are planned, in accordance with The National Society of Professional Engineers guidelines, to occur during the week of George Washington's birthday. George Washington, a land surveyor & our nations first president, is regarded as our nation's first prominent engineer, and thus we celebrate National Engineers Week in conjunction with his birthday.

 

Since 1955, The Engineers' Council has conducted an Honors & Awards Banquet at a major banquet facility, and arranges for the keynote address to be delivered by a prominent speaker. This year's Honors & Awards Banquet attendance was 665, and was the largest of its kind nationwide. The upcoming 2009 banquet will be The Engineers' Council 54^th Annual Honors & Awards Banquet.
